Rules of Engagement

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be alway acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength and my redeemer.” Psalm xix. 14.

Every breath that I take in and every breath that I release is for the purpose above. Every beating of my heart is for the love of God.

Do you remember playing games as children? We always fight over rules and who is right and who is wrong? Within the sacred space where we live with God there are no rules. There is only living within God’s love and guidance for us and us alone. You to Him and I to Him. We to each other.

Mature spiritual souls don’t fight over rules. They play the game. Bathe in the joy of playing and the ecstasy of being that makes us feel alive. That feeling makes us aware that we would rather play than sit on the sidelines.

There is a risk of broken bones and smashing into each other. When we join in on the fun of playing side by side and feel the wind in our faces is when we really know love. In community, we will pick each other up when we get hurt or stumble and fall. There are no scores and no losers. Just players that love playing in this joyous game of life. When we believe that God is the ultimate game maker the odds will always be in our favor. Let the play commence.
